New Layout

Had these photos hanging around and thought I would do something with them. My lovely daughter.

New Commission

Well, I have my new commission, to do a large canvas. the canvas is over 5' tall. The lady has supplied everything, so  all I have to do is to put it together. Will post pic when its done, but dont hold your breath cause its gonna take awhile, but will keep you updated as I go.

Wallhanging on comission

This wall hanging was made on commission, the bits on the side are purple, even tho it looks blue.

I have had another person enquiring about another wallhanging, woohoo

Orchid

My sister and I bought an Orchid at a School gala, some time earlier this year, she devided it and this is my half, which ahs flowered. Tis very small and delicate, this is just one set, there is another 2. Im very proud of this, its my first ever Orchid.

glue book - doodle art

Hi all, The Glue book group that I belong to had a Doodle art inpiration day. Well I dont doodle so found this a bit hard, I found some cool stickers at work, so used them to get me started. And away I went, I think it turned out pretty good, even if must say so myself.

GGSswap

Hi, this a card that I made for the latest swap on the GGSswapsite. The theme is Autumn and Arches. I sent this card to Ngaere. Hers will arrive soon, cant wait, as she is very good.

Well I didnt win the UP@scrap competion, but I thougth that my work was just as good the others that entered.

But have still got some artwork in for the gallery, fingers crossed.

Weekend

Well the weekend has finally arrived. Been so busy at work, Im just shattered.

I viewed a friends blog and she has mentioned our craft site. GGSswaps. Which is really great, she is trying out for an other scrap team on a magazine, fingers crossed.

Counting down to the Senz in CHCH, not too far away, June. Just need to save monies now, not too easy as I love to spend. :)

Altered Book

This an altered book that I made for a swap. The picture on the bottom is the cover and the picture to the left is the inside. I cut out the middle of the book and it is now a shrine.

Father in law

This is my father in law, I made this item for my brother in law, he had dads medals, so I decided to make this up after seeing 1 simular in UP2scrap. Used Anzac papers, labels, Poppy, and dads medals. It is a deep frame that I altered.

White space - Serious Moment

I entered this scrap page for a compition, in the magazine, UP2scrap. Didnt win, but I did enter. I have got another item entered, to see if I can make the Gallery in the same mag. Fingers crossed, Im in the second section. Cant publish the item until they decide.

I got a friend to help with this and she is the one that got me started on Altered art etc. Sorry but the pages go backwards.
 The album is a concertina, one side is my mother and grandmother and the other is me and my daughter.

Easter

Well tis easter weekend, not too much happening, have been gardening, looking good.
A so called friend spread a rumour that I asked her not to tell, so now one of persons involved has decided to make a complaint and if my boss decides to make an issue of it, I could loose my job :(. I feel that I cant trust my friend any more, she thought it would be funny and maybe it should have been, but with most things that involve me, it backfired, not sure what Im gonna tell my hubby if I get the sack, imagine getting fired for a rumour, but, it could be a good reason for my boss to rid of me, which I think she has been trying to do for awhile.
Not only does it affect my job but it affects other things too, I will have to cancel my trip to CHCH for Senz, as I wont be able to afford spending money's, or the accomodation, I will loose the deposit for the hotel, $100, $30 for Senz adnd approx $170 for airplane tickets. What a bummer.
Have been a bit stressed this weekend, no fun at all. Had a stress headache for the last couple of days, ( tablets dont work on stress headaches), nerves are shot, and feel if Im gonna throw at any time, Just lovely.

This page is based on the Dawn, Used crayons again as background, stamped the word Dawn and then glued on the other items which I cut from magazines.

Hi, I have a new swap site and one of our swaps was, something altered, I used a Doillie, used modpog to stiffen it, autumn leaves and baltik flowers. I had a different idea of colours when I started, but it turned out like this. Still Im impressed with it.

Weekend

Hi all,

Well what an exciting weekend, just spend half of Sat and half of Sunday stripping wallpaper, woohoo, so exciting, not. :dStill not finished, so guess what we will be doing next weekend!

I have used a canvas for this piece, My neices at the Melbourne races, as you can see, they had a great time.  I used lace leaves, flower and some bling.

This my beautiful neice, Paige. I made this wall hanging for my sister, she went thru a few health problems, so I made this to cheer her up, which worked.  I have used paper, lace, tissue, Paper doilly and stamping. 

I made this using canvas, its my inlaws on their wedding day.

I have made lots of cushions using neddlepoint called candlewicking, I loved doing it. This is just a sample of some of my work, before I got into my other art work.
